Meet the Artist
Kellan Wilging is s a sculptor and woodworker based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he creates abstract wood sculptures and functional art that blur the line between craft and expression. His work is rooted in a deep respect for the natural character of wood—its grain, movement, and imperfections—which he highlights through thoughtful carving and minimalist design.
Originally trained as a geologist, Kellan earned his Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Cincinnati. His path shifted while working at a fine woodworking company in the Cleveland area, where hands-on experience with materials and traditional techniques sparked a lasting passion for the craft.
Today, Kellan’s work is guided by a desire to reveal the quiet drama within each piece of wood. By embracing organic forms and letting the material lead, his pieces feel both grounded and evocative—celebrating nature’s own design as much as the human hand.
